Interview with our GORGEOUS bride, Jessica:

HOW DID YOU MEET? We Met at a Wells Fargo Training class. We were immediately attracted to each other. Training class lasted about 2 weeks. After training ended our class met up at Dave and Busters John and I exchanged numbers and the rest was history.
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU THE MOST TO YOUR HUSBAND? I love that John always knows how to treat me and he is very respectful. We can talk about anything. We just click and we have so much in common we love just being around each other and enjoying each others company.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE? John came up with the best proposal. It was the day before my birthday and John told me to get dressed because we were going to the movies. (We absolutely love the movies) We pulled up to Latitude 30 and went inside of the private movie theater. After the previews came on John came up on the big screen and proposed. After he proposed I turned around and all of my family and friends were there in the audience.
WHAT INSPIRED YOUR VISION FOR YOUR WEDDING? We wanted a fun non traditional wedding, which is why we chose to have it on New Years Eve. We put a lot of effort into making sure everyone had a wonderful time. We started the ceremony late at 7:30pm so that it would go through New Years Day. After the ceremony, we had the Red Carpet Cocktail hour and the reception followed. After our reception was over we moved to the topsider at the Wyndham to bring in the New Year and have a midnight breakfast buffet. We love the idea of moving to different parts of the hotel since it was a pretty lengthy wedding. Overall we had a blast. Everything turned out beautiful and it was a fun and amazing night.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR VENUE: I found the Wynhdam River Walk Hotel about 5 months into my planning process. Since we chose to have the wedding on New Years Eve we wanted to go with a hotel so that our guests would be able to stay there and not have to drive home after a long night. We chose the Wyndham because of its spacious ballroom over 10,000sq ft and its beautiful topsider that over looks the water.
WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST PLANNING CHALLENGE? I would have to say that our biggest planning challenge was the fact that our wedding was on New Years Eve. We weren’t able to get the venue that we wanted because it had been booked. A lot of vendors were already committed to other events.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT OF YOUR WEDDING? My favorite design element of the wedding had to be the beautiful arbor that we had at the ceremony that was draped in coral satin fabric, inside of the arbor was a crystal chandelier. Rachael Kasie Designs was my event designer and florist. She did an amazing job with everything. The transformation of the room was amazing.
DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY DETAILS? Actually I did not have any DIY details in my wedding. I am not very creative which is why it was imperative to choose a great event designer that would carry out my vision.
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY? The best moment of my wedding day was spending time with my husband doing the first look. We had a chance to get away from all of the chaos and spend some time together taking pictures.
DESCRIBE YOUR CAKE: Our cake came from Metro Custom Cakes it was BEAUTIFUL. John was in charge of the cake so he found them online and met up with them to design the cake. We did a final consultation and I added a few things to the cake that John designed. We wanted a lot of bling so we had crystals all over the cake. Metro Custom Cakes also added a few touches by adding some pink sugar flower to it. Not only was the cake stunning but it taste good too.
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER? We LOVED our photographers! Concept was great to work with. I found them after doing so much research online. I wanted to find a great photographer because I knew that pictures would be the only thing I would have to remember my wedding. They were so great to work with and very funny. You can tell that they love what they do and it shows. All of their work is breathtaking. Since we were very non traditional we wanted our pictures to be non traditional. We loved that all of their pictures were different.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND AS A COUPLE? Everyone wants us to have babies but as of right now we just want to enjoy each other and enjoy being married. It is such a beautiful feeling and experience we want to linger in it for awhile before we bring children in.

Interview with our BEAUTIFUL bride, Katie:
HOW DID YOU MEET? We both moved to New York City after college and met in East Hampton. We were guests at the same house one weekend and met through mutual friends.
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU THE MOST TO YOUR HUSBAND? We became great friends right away. We have a similar outlook on life and have always made each other very happy. After a few months of being ‘best friends’, we realized we wanted much more… and the rest is history.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE? Tim connected with Katie’s boss and had him place a fake breakfast meeting on the calendar. As Tim walked Katie out of their west village apartment that morning, he got down on one knee in the middle of the street and explained she was having breakfast with him at their favorite restaurant and there was no meeting. He also had the car packed and ready for a romantic weekend ski trip to Vermont to celebrate their engagement.
WHAT INSPIRED YOUR VISION FOR YOUR WEDDING? Once we booked the Pavilion at the Flagler Museum, we knew we wanted to go with that ‘Old Palm Beach’ feel. The wedding dress had a very vintage look. We selected an art deco design for the invitation and stationery. Once we got these key figures locked down, it was easy to get the planning in motion.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR VENUE: Katie went to Palm Beach for her sister’s birthday and after visiting a few churches, she stopped by the Flagler Museum with her cousin. They knew right away this was the perfect venue and the decision was made then and there.
WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST PLANNING CHALLENGE? Our biggest challenge was planning the wedding while making the move from New York City to Geneva, Switzerland. Tim was transferred in March 2012 and Katie joined him later that summer after tying up loose ends in NYC. Luckily, Katie’s mother, sister and cousin all live in Florida and were very involved in the planning process.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT OF YOUR WEDDING? Again, the venue made the night. Between the gorgeous chapel and garden, walk through the museum, cocktails outside overlooking the scenic intracoastal and then walking into the beautifully decorated Pavilion, it was like a dream.
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY? We really enjoyed taking pictures with each other and the bridal party. It gave us a chance to slow everything down and we were able to take it all in. We were both so happy the day had finally come and literally couldn’t stop smiling. Dr. Robert S. Norris conducted an incredible ceremony and it really was the most unbelievable experience.
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER? Sara and Jason are a wonderful team. They were very prepared and efficient, which made it easy for us to relax and enjoy every moment. We had a blast shooting with them and we got all the formal photos done with time to spare.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND AS A COUPLE? We are back in Geneva, taking advantage of living in Europe and traveling as much as possible…living out our dreams and making a home away from home.
