Interview with the beautiful couple, Kristin + Mark:
HOW DID YOU MEET? We meet online. Eharmony to be exact.
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU THE MOST TO YOUR HUSBAND/WIFE?
Kristin: I was attracted to Mark at first because of the answers he had posted on eharmony. He was a firefighter first off, and growing up in a fire station with my parents meant I knew and lived the lifestyle. Second was all his hobbies – hunting & fishing are both things I love to do and wanted somebody to enjoy them with. Then of course there is the fact that he’s very handsome!
Mark: I was attracted to the fact that Kristin was such a young a driven person. She was motivated to work hard and make a future for herself.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE? He proposed the morning we were leaving for St. Augustine, Florida. We were packing all of our stuff when he kept telling me I forgot something. I kept assuring him I did not when he pulled out the ring and proposed. He told me later he was suppose to do it in St. Augustine, but that the ring was burning a hole in his pocket and he couldn’t wait any longer!
WHAT INSPIRED YOUR VISION FOR YOUR WEDDING? We both love the ocean as well as being comfortable we wanted people to just have fun!
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR VENUE: Mark actually picked the venue. He had a fishing tournament there. He came home from it and told me we should get married there one day. I think we had only been together 6 months.
WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST PLANNING CHALLENGE? Hardest part for me is that I work nights and sleep days. Unfortunately places aren’t open at 2 am when I’m awake!
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT OF YOUR WEDDING? My dress
DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY DETAILS? Most of the things were DIY. All the little star fish. The centerpiece boxes, sand box with star fish ect., all home made.
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY? Seeing my future husband up at the alter waiting for me.
DESCRIBE YOUR CAKE: We had a desert table with cupcakes then a two tier white wedding cake with star fish on it.
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER? Always amazing! You guys are truly the best and we love working with you guys! Your vision is amazing!
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND AS A COUPLE? We will continue to live and love like we always have. Enjoy the time we have together and continue to explore the world we live in. Eventually we plan to have a family of our own, but for right now we just want to enjoy our time just the two of us!

There is no question that we are grateful for (absolutely in love with, as a matter of fact) what we get to do for a living. We often get asked what it is that we love most about being wedding photographers, and the answer is simple – we get to spend the happiest day of someone’s life with them, and then give it back to them better than they remember it.
The answer we do not give, although it is almost as true, is that weddings, (brides + grooms especially) can be hilarious. We literally laugh out loud when going through the pictures from some of our weddings.
So today’s post is dedicated to the laughter, hijinks, shenanigans, goofiness, silliness and pure joy – we love you! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

We absolutely love reconnecting with previous clients – especially when they have an adorable new addition! We usually hold off on bringing the holiday cheer until after Thanksgiving…but we just couldn’t help ourselves 🙂
