It’s amazing how unlucky (but lucky) we have been with the weather lately. I called Kim & Josh to reschedule their engagement shoot because of the bad weather. That phone call went straight to voice mail, so Sara and I continued to New Smyrna Beach. When they arrived, it was already lightening and thundering. The sky was crazy shades of blue and black, but we decided to take the mile walk to the beach, since we were already there. The lighting was actually really good considering how close the storm was. Then the most amazing sunset ever happened. The bottom of the sky lifted up, ever so slightly, and revealed the coolest colors ever for a sunset. I couldn’t stop shooting. My finger was glued to the trigger for about ten minutes. Then the sky closed back up and the rain came down. Nothing quite like running a mile in the rain with your camera gear. After we got home and looked at the pictures, it was so worth it!
