Angela + Joe / Amazing Pass-A-Grill Beach Wedding

Interview with the gorgeous couple, Angela + Joe:
HOW DID YOU MEET? In the hospital, Joe working as a PT and I was working as a nurse.
WHAT ATTRACTED YOU THE MOST TO YOUR HUSBAND/WIFE? (Angela) His looks of course 😉 but more importantly his patience, kind heart and knowing how to always make me smile. (Joe) Her eyes and laugh hooked me from day one, even when coming out of a patient’s hospital room. Angela has the ability to make me want to be a better person and…she “gets” me.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE? We were going to a “friend’s” birthday cocktail hour in the middle of the week at The Abbey, a bar in downtown Orlando. As we turned the corner the marquee read “Angela, will you marry me?” and my closest family in friends were watching and waiting inside. He definitely caught me off guard!
WHAT INSPIRED YOUR VISION FOR YOUR WEDDING? I didn’t want a traditional “cookie cutter” ballroom wedding. We are both true Floridians and LOVE the beach so there was no question about where we would get married.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR VENUE: We discovered Pass-a-Grille beach a few years ago on a whim. While staying on St. Pete Beach a woman at the salon I was getting my pedicure at told me to go check out the sunset in Pass-a-Grille and we fell in love immediately. They were setting up for a wedding that day and the sunset was gorgeous.
WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST PLANNING CHALLENGE? The timeframe- we had exactly four months from the time we were engaged to the time we were married.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT OF YOUR WEDDING? I loved my bouquet and the florist Voytek surprised me with crystals in each rose.
DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY DETAILS? Kind of? We enlarged and framed pictures of both our parents from their wedding days and displayed them at the reception.
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY? (Angela) There are too many! Having all of my family and friends in one place just for us for the ENTIRE weekend, seeing Joe at the end of the aisle and the speeches from our best man and my sister (maid of honor) were absolutely perfect. (Joe) Seeing Angela walk down the aisle was hands down the most memorable moment of our wedding and possibly my life.
DESCRIBE YOUR CAKE: Simple yet beautiful. I fell in love with the idea of having fresh flowers cascading down my cake and had to have it. We are not big chocolate people and had orange flavored cake in one tier and raspberry almond in the other with vanilla frosting and it was delicious!
HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER? Sara and Jason were so amazing! They are worth every penny and despite the weather not cooperating and a few other bumps throughout the day their positive attitude and professionalism made us feel so comfortable.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND AS A COUPLE? Traveling, traveling, traveling. Enjoying just “us” time.
